ショーン・エヴァンス＆ロジャー・アラム主演、英ITVドラマ『Endeavour/新米刑事モース～オックスフォード事件簿～』シリーズ3全4話の製作決定がITVより発表されました！

警察組織の腐敗が明らかになったシリーズ2最終話「Neverland」。Endeavourの上司であり汚職に関わっていないDI Thursdayは汚職刑事達に胸部を撃たれ、Endeavourは犯してもいない殺人罪で投獄され…

プリクエル(Case1：華麗なる賭け)でも警察は賄賂を受け取って捜査に手を加えていましたが、モースがオックスフォードにやって来た時からずっと警察が腐敗していることを憂いていたサーズデイ警部補を、腐敗した警察上層部は実力行使で排除に挑んできました。

シリーズ2では冒頭から証拠品が紛失し、Endeavourと仲の良いPC Strangeも“秘密結社”への誘いを受け、Endeavourの応援要請を無視するよう命令されます。ブライト警視正が堕落していないだけまだマシだと思えばいいのか…

証拠品の紛失やら内通やらに一役買っていたのは、幼少時のある事件で汚職刑事達にいたぶられ、恐怖で縛られて身動きが取れなくなっている先輩刑事のDS Jakes。

警察と地元名士達との癒着により、正義を貫こうとしても“そのうち思い知るだろう”とS2E1で警告されたとおり、EndeavourとDI Thursdayは絶体絶命の窮地に追い込まれているわけですが…

DI Thursdayの容体はいかに？無実の罪で収監されたEndeavourはどうなるっ？！

と絶叫モードでクリフハンガーとなったS2最終話の続きからシリーズ3(全4話)はスタート。ただし、現時点ではITVが明らかにしたのは、“シリーズ3にショーン・エヴァンス演じるEndeavour Morseが出演する”ことのみ。DI Thursday演じるロジャー・アラムの出演は明確にされていません。

きっと、きっとDI Thursdayも出てくることと、一命を取り留めてEndeavourをまた叱り飛ばしつつ支え導いてくれるのだと信じてますよ、製作陣！(号泣)

ITV commissions a new series of Endeavour from Mammoth Screen
Four new films from Mammoth Screen’s successful crime drama, Endeavour, have been commissioned by ITV.
Following the success of the second series shown on ITV earlier this year, the third series will once again be written by Lewis creator and Inspector Morse writer, Russell Lewis.
The new series of Endeavour will be set in 1967, picking up from the dramatic second series finale that saw Endeavour Morse placed in police custody, framed for a murder he didn’t commit, and DI Fred Thursday’s life hanging in the balance after being shot in the chest.
Whether Thursday will survive – and what impact the fall-out from this will have upon Morse and his colleagues – remains to be seen. All the pieces are up in the air. Where they will land is anybody’s guess…
The only certainty is that Shaun-Evans (The Last Weekend; Silk) will return to film the new series in Oxford, once again donning the shabby raincoat and inhabiting the down-at-heel digs of young Detective Constable E. Morse.

ITVの公式発表によると、今年(2014年)3月に放送されたシリーズ2の最高視聴率は27％、700万View。2014年放送のシリーズ作品の中で最高記録を出した作品の1つとなっています。

7月－8月の舞台『Miss Julie/Black Comedy』が終わり、Shaunはゆっくりできたでしょうか。

S3の放送時期はまだ発表されていませんが、年内に撮影が始まるようであれば、2015年春以降の放送を期待できるでしょうか。

DI Thursday役のロジャー・アラムは、イアン・マッケラン主演の『Mr.Holmes』を撮影中のようなので、S3に出演があるとすれば（出演してください！）、彼のスケジュールとの兼ね合いがあるかもしれません。

S2の終わり方がアレだったのでS3は絶対あるだろうとほぼ確信していましたが、正式発表が出るとやはり嬉しく、ホッとします。

S3が楽しみですっ！
